After I graduated from a local community college, I started an Instagram account for my business. Shortly after that, I joined a program that promised to have me booked out as a social media manager in 12 weeks. And it turns out that I was scammed. I wasn't booked out and didn't feel aligned with what I was doing. I thought I had to be a social media manager because that's what everyone else was doing, so I went on like that for several months. But then, I met someone who is a podcast manager.
After chatting to her for awhile and doing some research on podcast management, I was completely hooked. I remembered a class I took in high school called Intro to Video where I produced and edited a ton of videos throughout the year. It was my favorite class, and I loved the editing part of the process. It only felt right to start marketing myself as a podcast manager going forward. I've since made the shift in my title to Podcast Producer because it just feels even more right. And that's how we ended up here! There are a bunch more places I'd like to go with my business so stay tuned.
Now that I've told you my story, I want to share some personal things about myself, so you can get to know me more! I am from Grand Rapids, Mi and I was born in '03. I've recently started getting into some spiritual things like astrology, human design, and akashic records. My big 3 are Cancer sun, Libra moon, and Libra rising. I am an emotional manifesting generator. I played volleyball for 8 years, and now I coach at the club I used to play at. I love traveling; my favorite places I've been are Cozumel, Mexico and Oahu, Hawaii. I read 123 books in 2023, so if you need any recommendations, just let me know. I love diamond painting, coloring, and any other creative activities. I love being at home and watching my favorite movies and tv shows. I am definitely an introvert, so I thrive when I have my alone time. I have 3 fur babies; Archie and Stormi (Frenchies) and Honey (a cat). They are my entire world (and you can see photos of them below).
Hello! My name is Claudia Lems, and I am the face behind Work With CML. I want to take some time to share with you why I decided to start a business and why I got into podcast production. So, pull up a chair, grab some popcorn, and get ready for quite the story.
My entrepreneurship journey starts in the summer of 2019 while watching The Parent Trap starring Lindsay Lohan. In the movie, Annie and Hallie's mom is a fashion designer with her own business and fashion brand. This reminded me of being 5 or 6 and wanting to be a fashion designer. I'm glad I grew out of that phase, as are my parents... But seeing their mom working as an accomplished business women lit a fire in me. I was with my friend at the time, and I started spewing to her about all these ideas for a business I wanted to start and how I could make it happen. And let's just say, that particular business didn't pan out after I realized I wanted a business that would allow me to travel, and that's what led me to the online space.
